This riff is an intermediate one. Here you will be using almost all of the strings on the guitar! The band has since gone their seperate ways, with Chris Cornell now the frontman in Audioslave, and drummer Matt Cameron with Pearl Jam.
This riff was originally performed by the Man in Black himself, Johnny Cash. Soundgarden revamped this great song into a more modern day rock riff. It is rather difficult to play, but with a little practice it isn't too hard.
